So I've had this torch coral in my tank for probably the last six months. It's normally out maybe not all the way out but has appeared healthy.

However I noticed yesterday it was looking like this. Is it a goner? No brown jelly or excrement. Just retracted.

My perimeters are stable; tank is a mixed reef with SPS. All my other coral I doing great. I have another torch right next door to this one doing great.

Any help is appreciated.

Congratulations, you have a new baby torch

I'll do so when I get home. It was phosphorusing last night under the actinics right before the lights went out.

Don't know if this picture helps any more. It's about the same as yesterday.

yeah, not really,is all bone covered in tissue ?
or are you seeing skeleton up top ?
looks like an aussie, they tend to do this longer when splitting.

This might sound like a dumb question but when you say bone covered on tissue what are you looking at? The white bone/tissue goes half way down its base. Is actually a TSA Holy Grail.

This shows you more of the base of the torch. Tonight it doesn't look much different.

It looks healthy and the tissue is well down the skeleton. Might be as fishguy said, aussies splitting takes a bit longer. Do be wary of what looks like an aiptasia on the left side. Doesnt look like it’s touching yet but in time it might.

Totally agree. As with those characters time to dispatch the nudibranchs. The more this goes on the more I think it's splitting. My experience with torchs if they go they go. They don't linger.

Actually need to get a nice aussie copperband for those glass slippers

It's doing good. Here it is after the lights went out tonight. So either someone is picking on it or too much light (doubt it), or it's coming back out.
