Just got a deal on some Aqua Illumination Sols White now I'm just trying to figure out what percent to run the things

wanted to know if you thought my torch looks ok never seen it shrivel up like the lower head is but it happened yesterday to the previous head

the coral is in the middle of the tank the light is 10 inches off the water line (28 inches off the sand bed) currently running on acclimation mode at 20% reduction highest point currently is mid day W29% B42% stay at this percent for 5 hours then ramps down to B5%

all water parameters are perfect

so what do you say does it look ok?

I know that my euphyllia corals will retract at night. So, I am going to say that it is looking good.

ill see if tomorrow i can get a picture of it at full extension and see what you guys think thanks seahorsekeeper

along the sides where the the coral touches it's bone does that part look good ? corals were like the first coral i started so i've had few breeds for 5+ years and they can suck up pretty good when the lights go down and still be good, but if it looks like the sides where the bone meets the actual coral looks bad...then it might be doing bad.... and vice versa.. will see how htey look when u post the 5 hour lighting pic..

my torches go from ( ) at night to ( ) during the day...thats just a estimated example obviously lol

blah my example ddnt work ... (___) at night (________) during day

You'll have to get a better pic for us to answer that one. Its tough to see it in the blue lights. But, under blue only, it looks ok.

My torch tends to go in at night aswell I think this is normal I run led aswell.

Yea that over lap onto the physical bone I guess you would call it is perfect looks healthy it's just the tentacles look weird, today when I got home(got home late again I'm taking finals) the tentacles looked extra thin almost like spaghetti not sure if it's cuz it's under stress because of the new lighting or maybe a lack of light.

Still haven't been able to take a pic of it during the day and I work all day tomorrow I'll see if my girlfriend can take a picture of it for me tomorrow

Was finally able to take a picture of the Torch sorry it took long, i think it looks fine it just looks weird to me at night when only the blues are on

nice ya i def wouldnt worry about that it looks very happy... i had a torch like that... died in a crash years ago :/ but it was sold to me as a "Spaghetti" torch.. the tentacles would be 6-8 inches during day but some odd ball tentacles that grew different would be 10+ inches and hit other corals... just a FYI if that torch is similar. mine took up the top back quarter of the tank for safety reasons
