Hi!

Does anyone know what kind of torch coral this is?

Purple tentacle torch or grey tip purple stem torch (glabrescens)

aussie as well i think, like vette said though these guys are more broadly labeled by their description, ie. purple tip green center, etc
Are the tentacles really short? What’s the skeleton look like when retracted? Almost looks like Euphyllia cristata vs Euphyllia glabrescens (torches).

This is how the tantacles look like when power is off. but never heard

that glabrescens corals have green mouth.

ny knicks torch would prob be one of the most popular green mouthed torch, there are others like joker torch as well just to name a couple

honestly it is more normal, BUT i think europe is fully banned from aussie euphyllia so it may be more rare rn near you
Okey thank you for your answer! I actually have another torch coral which I don’t know the name of. Do you know this one?

Buy the same exact coral from 5 different vendors, and you'll get 5 different names.

This stupid name game really needs to stop, unfortunately the way people are wired these days, they want fancy names, not scientific ones.
