I added this purple tip Fiji Torch coral yesterday. It isn't opening as much nor are the tentacles as long as on my Australian green Torch. Similar placement, light, and flow. I know different Torches from different regions will open more or less. Anyone out there have one of these and does mine look right?

My Ausie gold torch will do the same thing in the mornings when the lights first turn on, then get longer as time passes. Mine's tentacles tend to stay kinda fat compared to most torches however, though I think that's more to do with flow than the type of torch. I've had a few at the store stay short like that and they eventually perished. Have you inspected for any pests and tested water parameters just to cover your bases? [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

Yes, pest inspected and dipped. Water parameters are all good. The main reason for my concern is that my Australian green torch opens so full I can't distinguish the branches, this Fiji purple one not as full. But being I've never had this particular one before I'm not sure if that is the way the Fiji torches are or if it's just not happy with the placement. Which would be a shame because I've been holding that spot in the tank for months waiting for this to be available. So I like the spot. [emoji6]

That torch is healthy. It is opening to the best of it's abilities as indicated by other variants of torches from that same region.

Cool, thanks. I really didn't want to move it. I've noticed that with pretty much any coral that if it starts to go downhill it's either the beginning of the end or takes a really long time to rebound.

The torch looks good, it may just be because you just got it and therefore it adjusting to your tank!
