I recently bought this notorious black torch coral but when i receive it in the mail it looked like the tentacles where damage. Does some one know if its happy? Or healthy?

Agreed...not seeing anything out of the ordinary in those pictures.

Agreed with fellow reefers. It seems perfectly fine. Why do you suspect it being damaged?

The color on the tentacles didn't look as dark as the selling picture and has like a white slime on the tentacles and some the tentacles are like skinny from the bottom and inflated from the tip like a drying flower. But its been fully open

that photo has probably been edited to make the colors pop and/or it may appear it different color because it's under different lighting than it was in the photo. also, in their photo the tentacles looks short and stubby compared to how it looks in your photos, so i'd say that's a good thing.

I would give it some time to adjust. How long has it been in your tank?
Its been 4 days but since the place its 3 hours away and don't have a car i had to ship it and i was spectiong it to come with no tentacles damages and since its my first torch coral i wasn't sure if it had been shipped in a bad condition. But thanks for the help[emoji120]

based on the photos you posted I see no reason to believe it was damaged. I wouldn't worry unless it retracts it's tentacles for long periods of time, or if it starts losing any flesh at all... only then should you be concerned. good luck :-)
