Hi guys, I got a nice little torch last weekend and today was the second time I saw a little tip off the torch floating around the tank. Is this normal? It is on a medium flow area.

This is the torch in question.. By the time I decided to take a pic the tip disappeared somewhere in the tank so I wasn’t able to catch it.

I see tips from my frogspawn and torch floating once in awhile. Doesn't hurt them. Might want to give it less flow until it fully acclimated and gradually introducing more later

I had this occur on my frogspawn when it was a single head and was splitting for the first few times. I think it is just the way euphyllia let go of excess polyps from splitting when small.

I’m feeling a little better about this. If I remember correctly this happened every so often with my Gold Torch in my old tank. I completely forgot about that until now. In the meantime I moved my Gyre’s a little bit more towards the back of the tank. Just enough so the front sand bed portion wasn’t getting as much flow.
