Hi all reefers. Anyone who can helpe figure out why my 1 of 3 torch corals inflates fully half the day, then goes to partially opened. Lights are still. Is he tired???? Help please.

I have one that I accidentally smushed against the glass a few weeks after getting it. Crushed the entire skeleton on top.

miraculously it has survived. It does deflat much more than my other torch.

they also deflate to poop, then inflate right back up.

if I look at mine, on the edges I can see the skin is peeled back, missing, or a dead spot in a few spaces around edge of where coral skin meets skeleton. Very small, and only visible when the current moves it a certain way.

my opinion, it’s just doing torch things.

How long have you had it? It sometimes takes a week or two for them to settle in.

Same issue happened to me I found that the Torch did not like the area I had it placed in, so I moved it. All my Torches are doing great now after finding the perfect spot for them, may be too much light or not enough, too much flow or not enough. Good Luck!
