Torch coral placement! Recommendations?

I just got my first green torch coral for only $59! Where should I place him? This is where he currently is. I was reading middle to low. Please draw or point to where you’d put him in my tank? Or if you think where I have him on the green frag rack is good?

I’d have to take it off the plug or grind the plug flat. To stay up straight there but maybe.

get some bone cutters and cut the bottom bit of the plug off thats what i do

Just the green one does but he stings everyone over there. Goni seems to withstand it like nothing though. Plugs don't bother me sometimes I remove them other times I need them for balance. Got a real nice holy grail coming tomorrow.

You can place it wherever you'd like and it will probably do okay, minus under something. Euphyllia are a stinging LPS, they branch out a lot and love moderate to low flow. 200 par sounds about right. I would put these around the bases of your rock TBH where flow is decent and they can still get a bite of food from time to time.

I put my torch on the sand at the very bottom and since it has done well I haven't bothered to move. I think I read somewhere not to do that though ....

The thing with having ( renting/borrow) a par meter is you can map out the par at different levels in the tank. Then you know in the future what par you can expect.

And it's money well spent on the rental. I thought my lights were at the perfect par intensity and was shocked to find out how low my par actually was with the par meter.
