Should I put this coral in my tank? It’s a high end torch? Came in really dirty water and polyps are like melting.

Following along to see what others say. I’m no torch expert but it just looks deflated and stressed from the pics. Maybe a little damage. I’d put it in my tank and cross my fingers it lived.

The middle of the torch is turning brown and I’m worried it might cause an ammonia spike so I don’t want to add it into my tank until I get more feedback.

Some torches routinely look pretty bad, retracted at night. After shipping for sure.
I would put it in the tank.

Dip in reef primer . It look like it will survive if it wasn’t, you would of smelt it already. Dipping and clean make sure no pest or smell then you can put in tank in a area with gentle flow for now worse case it brown jelly if your other corals are heathy should be ok.
