Hey Everyone! I woke up to this today and I want to say that it's splitting but I just wanted to confirm with you web folks. Thanks in advance!

Euphyllia need to develop new skeletal structure to multiply, they will however bud but that does not happen over night. Sometimes you'll see polyp bail out which is a sign of stress. Keep an eye on it and report back if able.

Alright, lights went out half hour ago and something looks off. Not so sure this is normal . What do you think.

It deff looks stress, any changes in your tank? When mine split they usually shrink for a couple days even weeks, then they seem to drop polyp where the skeleton is going to split

looks like it's new to your system.it will stress out and look like that in a new home or when parameters get off a bit.it's a hardy coral so maybe it just needs some time to adjust. don't stress it should recover in a few days to a week or so.

I added him about 2 weeks ago and he's been beautiful. This weekend I went to a local frag swap and added 3 pieces to my system . I just checked my calcium levels and they dipped to about 250. Going to do a small w/c tomorrow and recheck my levels. Ordered some seachem products tonight but my water is just way too clean. I'm barely building up nitrates and leave my parameters completely 0'd with weekly changes.

What does your numbers look like? By the way it sounds 0,0 for NO3 and PO4? If so that could pose a huge problem. Torches, all coral really, need both Nitrates and Phosphates to survive. Torches like the water to be dirtier than some other corals. I have found a sweet spot at around 10 NO3 and .05-.1 PO4

Exactly the problem. I increased feedings a bit this week and fed the corals twice instead of just one to try and raise my levels but nothing. I was doing weekly changes every Sunday about 30% so I was going to let it go another week and begin dosing. Just a bit surprised how quickly my calcium dropped from Friday morning until this evening .

So the coral has died. Just to follow up, my calcium dropped to about 410 and dk was at 7.8.. stabilized everything again and got myself on a schedule. I have mostly lps frags and they're all doing great. Some have even perked up and look to be growing nicely. Lesson learned

Test btw all read out at 0 with barely detectable amounts of nitrate. Tank is about 8 months old and i started adding coral about two months ago.
