Hey all, just looking for an explanation, I've been reefing for years and never understood why this happens. I've noticed from time to time a torches tentacles are alot longer than the other tentacles. I know it's not sweepers , the coral is healthy and parameters are normal, why they do this ?

I always thought it was sweepers. Or investigative tentacles making sure the road ahead is clear for growth.
