They are not the fastest growing coral. With bans effecting a lot of previous source, aquaculture and other locations having to fill in the remaining orders. Its not like a fast growing acro that a coral farm can turn 1 frag into many in a year or 2. Sure there might be some markup simply because the market does determine prices not cost. But there are some forces outside the hobby itself driving them.
I live in Asia and oddly, they’re cheap. Lots of euphyllia coming in so perhaps they’ll make their way around. Some pics of recent green hammers we just got in 2 weeks ago. Selling for $20 US a head.
I got an Aussie torch for around the same price about 2 months ago.
