I have a new torch that I purchased last weekend and noticing his base skeleton has turned white - parameters all solid - he and 2 other torches in tank doing super well. Polyps fully extend and otherwise seems completely healthy.

I did slightly cut into his skeleton at the very bottom when cutting him off his frag plug about a week ago - is it possible that did it?

Here are a couple photos - its hard to get a shot of the whole base while he’s out

Looks normal, to my knowledge it is actually white and the green/brown is just algae.
Okay cool - Im still new to the game and this is the first time I’ve seen a white base. All other signs point to him being fine but just wanted to make sure I didn’t need to take some action.

The polyp extension is great, that really says a lot.
