Hello everyone I’m new to this forum and hobby. I have just bought a torch from my LFS and I acclimated it for 45 min-1hr. At the store it looked all happy and moving around, since I placed on a rock in my sand doesn’t seem as lively. Is this normal after it’s acclimated to a new tank? And also is this a ideal spot in a 75G tank?

It is normal to be a little closed after arriving in the tank. As for ideal spot, you want around 200 +/-50 par and moderately flow so it is swaying in the current. Don't forget to keep your alk stable and to watch calcium (and mag if you go a while without good water changes).

congrats! It could take a few weeks for the coral to really get acclimated, so unless you see tissue receding, it should be OK.

I do water changes once a week. Thank you for responding
