TORCH Corals..................TRICK or TREAT?

I stupid heavy stock, lol. N usually between 30-40 and p hovers around .1-.15

Doesn’t sound too bad to me. I know several running similar levels with phenomenal tanks (torches and SPS).

kept one early on during my reef journey but sold it off as i was leaning towards maintaining a stable reef before adding more corals. it didn’t die and seemed very happy where i had it

None for me. I can't get over the $ people want for what we used to almost give away as starter corals. I have a Hammers and a Frogspawn so I can't Imagine I couldn't raise a Torch. They are pretty hard to kill.

I have one that grow from one head to many heads in one year The first 2 months it just do nothing and I thought I am going to lost it but it bounce back

I bought two recently thats just whittled away but I have one that a local refer sold me CHEAP and its in the tank alive but not really growing. Same goes for my frogspawn. Also any hammer i buy dies within 10 days of adding to my tank. Hard to justify the $100+ price for them.

Now my $20 frammer is getting HUGE and growing great.

Just purchased my first TSA Lime Surprise but remain weary from fellow reefer stories and certainly want to avoid bjd at all costs. This is my 3rd SW tank (FOLR, Fish and softies, and now more coral than fish). So far things are going well - fingers crossed

Love everything about torches except the price. Although I've found out the hard way that by feeding them it increased the likelihood of contracting brown jelly disease. Nothing can take the place of the movement it adds to the reef.
