My green Indo torch has dropped a few tentacles which I found on the sand below it. I picked them up and put them on the rock near it. Should I be worried? I have never seen one do this before. It looks healthy

Pictures?
If it “looks” healthy and expanded, it may be a fish or cuc taking a bite out of it. The worst case would be polyp bail out but let’s see a pic and we can tell one way or the other

Pictures would help like mentioned above. Usually when Euphyllia detach from there base/head something is bothering it. I have seen what looks to be a healthy torch and hammer detach because there was contaminates in the water!

I had a giant frogspawn that dropped a baby once. Just a little ball of tentacles. It was bizarre, but it did just fine.

Here are some I just took. The quality is poor because my lights just went out and I was using a flashlight.

I had to remove my vortech pump to clean it. A baby snail got into the rotator and was causing a grinding noise. It’ll be back up tomorrow creating more flow.
