Hey everyone I’ve been having issues with my torch corals I have bought two and both died within two days of being in my tank my calcium and alkalinity and salinity are where supposed to be? My Mg is high at 1560. Could this be the reason why they are dying if so how do I lower it I do a water change once a week of 25% in a 75 gallon tank. Can you some help here please because that’s $200 wasted the rest of my coral is going great it’s just the torch’s

Mind posting your parameters?
Hows your surface agitation? Flow? Did you dip? Can't be lighting, that's kinda quick, unless they somehow bleached (Which I doubt). What fish do you have? What other corals are near?

MG is kinda high, but is it stable? Are all your parameters stable regardless of where they are?

I have it on a rock on sand not near other corals, I dip them in revive when they got to the house. My flow I’m using the current USA wave pump along the top of tank on a low setting
nitrite- 0ppm
Ammonia- 0.25
Ph- 8.4
Calcium-420
Magnesium- 1560
Salinity- 1.025

Hmm, they might be mad from the ammonia. New tank? Or did something happen recently? What's Nitrate and phos looking like? What temp? Was the flow enough to have they gently waving?

Able to post pics with white light? Hard to see what's going on under blues.

If you need I can post a video of my hammers waving in my current if needed, and you can tell me whether you had more or less.

I had the tank since February. My nitrate is 10ppm. My temp is 79. I will post pictures with white light once I get home tonight.

Ahh! I think it's too much flow. They are getting waved pretty rough even though they are retracted I think. Try lowering it, and give them an hour or so. Check out my tank for some ideas. Think it's too direct possibly..not sure. But I think too much of something.

I just looked at both videos, YA! IT LOOKS BETTER! Now, just let them acclimate. It'll take some time.
