Hey guys,

I got this torch a month and a half ago, and the back has completely died. Water parameters are fine, and we just switched it’s place in the tank.

Any other info I can provide? Any advice?

Thanks,
Will

Do you have a photo? It can have become stressed because of movement

euphyllias are just tricky like that IMO, which is why I have steer clear of them as of late (especially given the ridiculous price). I just want you to know there are so many reasons they can die and don't ever be too hard on yourself if they don't make it. I have the perfect parameters with all my acros growing like weed but can't keep euphyllias alive.

I have good parameters and can’t keep anything but euphyllias

Sorry! but there's no such thing as perfect parameters. Here's some of the possible causes the dieoff: Corals can have "environmental memory" so just moving it to different locations can have a negative effect on a coral. Researchers have shown the immune systems in a coral species can vary significantly between genotypes so you may have some bacteria or virus in your system it was sensitive to. It can take a coral weeks to months to recover from a stress event so it's possible it had a problem before you got it.

So funny! there are so many unanswered questions in this hobby!
