Torch flesh encrusting?

Did anyone ever seen something like this? what would be the cause? My HG torch had normal flesh around the crown then it started growing all the way down to the plug. Photos are taken before lights out, its the only time you can see the body of the torch.

Torches are LPS corals, so they will encrust, grow additional heads, etc.

Not unusual. Mine encrusted as well as many of my SPS. Coral looks good

I had one that got BJD a while back, lost half the heads and has already encrusted over the old ones and grown 4 new heads.

It's just the growth band and it's probably like that because it was fragged short. Looks like it's just expanding its base and looks very healthy.

Thats awesome, im also running my mag a little higher 1500+. I noticed they open up more with higher mag

That means that they are healthy, that is why you should alway’s ask to see the flesh before you buy on, very good
