Torch & Hammer Gardens

I wish I had a magic answer for you as I've been on the search for the same question.

I think you'll find a different response from each hobbiest as each tank is different.

I find all torches change a little bit when introduced into a new environment.

I do feed heavy and export heavier.

I dose and feed amino acids, ab+, phyto, reef roids and benipets, with the occasional oyster feast and reef chili.

Torches range from 130-250 par.

I notice thicker tenticles in higher par as well as yellows and gold show more.

This is all for me in my tank and will have a totally different outcome in yours.
I appreciate your thorough response!! Yes, I realize it’s not a one size fits all. Everyones tank/situation is different and can yield different results. Too many variables involved. But that does give me a general idea!!! Ask 20 different reefers the same question and get 20 different answers. Lol!!! All of which could be the right answer.. Haha!!! Thanks for your input:)

Super nice! Wow

@MERKEY What's the orange with blue tips in the 2nd and 4th pics?

It's a really dark holy Grail. Sometimes the tenticles get orange-ish. I won't say true orange as that's almost impossible without light tricks.

This is what I have in my DT... Haven't had the chance to snap a pic of my euphyllia tank yet. Will post tomorrow. Nothing like MERKEY or Ben, that's for sure!

Don't sell yourself short!

That's an amazing garden you have started and the best part is it will only get better ;)

My favorite shots are when they are all clumped together like you are doing!

As promised, had a chance to snap a pic of my euphyllia tank... These are the other torches, frogspawns, and hammers I have growing out... and a few cynarinas and scolys just because...

cool

I'm highly surprised this thread doesn't have more posts. I love euphilla corals. They really seem to have a personality. They pout and sulk, they can perk up. Or, is it just me over thinking?

I agree they are among my favorite corals
