In theory, yes - and I know a few anecdotes of torch corals spawning and growing out successfully in tanks (it's definitely not common though). Torch corals are thought to be hermaphroditic, self-fertile* brooders,** so rather than those being eggs released from that torch, each of those would be planula larvae (i.e. baby corals, rather than eggs). My understanding is that these, like most planktonic larvae in our tanks, are generally eaten or killed off/pulled out of tanks by our equipment (filters, skimmers, etc.), but if they can find somewhere safe that has proper substrate, flow, lighting, etc. then they'll survive.
If you can collect the larvae, then you can put them into grow-out tanks that you've prepared for them (which could raise your chances of success), but even then there's no guarantees of success in the rearing.

Coral larvae for restoration and research: a large-scale method for rearing Acropora millepora larvae, inducing settlement, and establishing symbiosis
Here we describe an efficient and effective technique for rearing sexually-derived coral propagules from spawning through larval settlement and symbiont uptake with minimal impact on natural coral populations. We sought to maximize larval survival while minimizing expense and daily husbandry...peerj.com

"Breeding" new coral color morphs
Hello everyone, I've seen some coral that are "grafted" together to essentially give the colony a different look once it grows out. My question is... Is it possible to actually "breed" two different types of coral together (say, a gold hammer and a green frogspawn) to get a new color morph...www.reef2reef.com
Thank you for the info! I will look into it!I know @gig 'em reared some, so maybe they’ll have some advice.
If not, putting them in a rearing tank with their preferred substrate, proper lighting, and proper flow would be my best guess:![]()
Texas - Live Goods - Captive spawned Aussie gold torches
I have a gold torch colony that is quite good at spawning in captivity and have some juvenile colonies (about 2 years old) that are probably big enough to start harvesting and selling. I’ve received a decent amount of interest on these and only have a couple ready to ship. If you value buying...www.reef2reef.com
