Was sold to me as dragon soul torch. What are your thoughts? Just recently getting into torches.

Hmmm id say no, and if it was its not vibrant. Picture two appears to have an orange hue to some tentacles, but its not dramatic as some other torches I've seen. **I should add. All euphyillia are cool, and that still is a nice healthy looking torch

Any idea what your would "call" this one. It's a purple with goldish orange stipes and light blue green tips

I don't know but doesn't this guy look a little bleached to anyone?

It could very well be an indo gold torch/ dragon soul if you say it has purple, with gold-ish orange stripes, and green tips (which is how i would describe a dragon soul).

Are you talking about the longer tentacles that are a more clear?

Most definitely has goldish orange stripes. This one was $200

For torches, when their polyps are closed or not as long, they look more vibrant in color. This is because the zooxanthellae are condensed. Sometimes, this is why you see coral vendors take photos of torches that aren't fully expanded to accentuate its color and make it look more vibrant. Usually when the polyps expand to a longer length, the zooxanthellae algae become farther apart causing the polyps to become slightly paler in color - sometimes even a little clear but color always remain. It looks to me like this coral is extremely pale/white with barely any remaining pigment of its zooxanthellae. Bleaching is when the coral expels its zooxanthellae algae due to some stressful event, such as introducing it to your aquarium.

How long have you had it?

7 days. I'm assuming it will color up better after going through the introduction process. Right? My octo did the same was paler pink then darkened up after about 2 weeks.

As long as your tank is stable. I think you are fine. I'd be concerned if it was closed up since you got it.
