So is there an issue with my torch or is this normal? He is usually like this...

But today he is like this...
20201214_152648.jpg

12/14
• Sal 1.029
• Alk 7.4
• Ph 8.0
• Cal 460
• Mg 1350
• Temp 76. 9
• No3 5 ppm
• Ammonia. 25 ppm
I know all is a little low, and salinity is a little high, I literally just did a water change. Tested water before WC.
Any ideas?

how old is the tank? ammonia being present might be the problem, is that a spike or is it always present? a spike might explain why it was doing well before. salinity is also very high, you should work on bringing it down slowly

Usually 0 ammonia. And yes the salinity was high, I just did a WC after test. Its lower now, 1.026. Tank is a year old. Dunno wherethe spike of ammonia is coming from. It has been 2 wks since last WC

My indo torches get all funky with larger water changes. They usually get all puffy again without the wrinkles by the next day. I have been trying to do smaller more frequent changes to avoid swings.

IMO looks like it’s just a little stressed from a water change or a neighbor.

He is still unhappy, unsure what would tick him off. and its only one of the 3 heads acting funny

Mine go through spurts retracting. Just keep a eye out for BJD.

Brown jelly disease.

Do you have anymore pictures of it??
no new ones since what I have posted here. and i'm on duty tonight, so no going home. I just spoke to my wife and she said it looks the same as yesterday
