Just wanted to share a little knowledge. Those of you who have gold torches or dragon soul torches or any torch that has gold in it and you want to expand the gold content, it might be a good idea to have a “high noon“ lighting period for them. Most gold torches are found in shallow waters and a couple or so hours of more intense midday lighting would replicate their natural habitat and induce the expelling of brown zooxanthellae and the growing of more gold zooxanthellae.

Interesting, you just made me Google and learn something new so tyvm ^_^

Interesting
I always thought was all brown and corals themselves made the colours
The coral color is actually transparent. It’s the zooxanthellae that give it color. Zooxanthellae colors range from yellow/gold to brown. Darker colored corals have more brown, lighter corals have more yellow. More intense lighting forces the coral to accumulate lighter zooxanthellae, less intense lighting forces the coral to accumulate darker zooxanthellae.
