I’ve had this torch coral for at least a year now and all of sudden I see these purple film on top of it. I just tried removing it and some of the torch pieces flew off as well :/. Looks like its dieing but I didn’t do anything different to my tank and I just did a w/c last weekend.

if it’s not one things its something else. I really really do not want to lose this torch. Does anyone know if I can save it? Should I move it to the bottom even tho it’s always been ok on the top? Help please

Brown Jelly, kill flow and remove the whole piece, sorry but its gone... Try not to spread that brown jelly or it will just keep on giving!

Wow really i spread it in the tank already.... so should I remove this entire torch now?

Yeah if you see that brownish jelly film its a goner. Even if its not 100% brown jelly its tissue already began coming off so its not going to do well in the long run.
If you have any other euphyllia you must remove that coral because brown jelly can spread and potentially loose other healthy corals

Another thing is this jelly like thing started 2 days ago. When I seen it 2 days ago I did the same thing, wipes it off while in the tank so it went everywhere.

Not sure what this treelike thing is called in my tank but it started looking like this 2 days ago as well and it’s usually big and fluffy.

Do you guys think this is related

I just read up on it once I was told what it was. I had no clue it spreads so now it is put of my tank! Thanks!!

Softes like your kenya tree probably shrieked up do to some kind of swing maybe and is possibly why your torch went up in smoke. Think back at what might have changed and test your levels. Is your parameters steady?

I didn’t do anything but the w/c. I hadn’t check my parameters but after this I will... Thank you
