So my torch has been losing color over the past few weeks. I just moved it last night was thinking it wasn't getting enough light. Here are some pics. You can see its white on the one side. Should I be more concerned? Lights just ramping up so not fully open yet.

That kind of looks like bleaching to me, which means it might be getting too much light. I guess not enough light could also cause this? What do you think [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

How old is the tank? What lights are you using? How far down in the tank is this coral? What do the Nitrate and Phosphate numbers look like?

Thanks gang for the responses. Tank is almost a year old. Not running any GFO. It's a Redsea max 250 so 65g tank. Nitrates and phosphate are both at zero. I test every week. I am using a custom LeD setup. 2 cree lumina 5.2 leds running off a bluefish controller. I just reduced my white light to see if that will help. I also do week 5g water changes using rodi water and reef crystals salt. My setting for Midday look like this.

I suspect the none detectable No3 and Po4.
How are your other corals looking?

Others look okay. I did lose a chalice frag but not sure it's something that is related. My other chalices are fine. My hammer torch looks fine and frogspawns look okay. I have another torch that looks okay.

I have seen a lot of golden torches available recently in lfss around me but none of them have been truly gold. A lot of half purple, half gold or tri color. I'm wondering if there is something about these specifically that makes the colors morph funny.

Just snapped these pics. My other torch looked angry. Had to up the lights so may have ticked it off. These are unedited.

Great, than only this torch is starving.
Start feeding your fish more or dose No3.
Here some good advice how to start dosing No3 from our friend and Leader of the day @twilliard

After reviewing the pictures I would test your po4 again.
You have quite the load of zooxanthellae hence all the brown.
What lighting are you using?

Thanks again for all the help everyone.

It's not really brown hard to get pics with my LEDs. I made my lights. So custom hood with 2 cree lumia 5.2 leds running off a bluefish controller have my settings posted above.

So i was reading bout dosing from the article posted in the thread. Thanks for that.. question that may have been answered in that thread not sure. I do not have a sump. My tank is all in one so is it safe to dose directly in the tank? I am dosing Kent A and B through my dosing pumps. Makes me nervous to dose.

Its odd cause I feed my fish everyday. Only have the 2 clowns. I also spot feed my corals 3 times a week with Reef Frenzy.. maybe I am over feeding them? IDK every time I think I have it figured out I end up back to what the heck am I doing wrong mode.
