I'm posting this just to remind everyone that no matter how much you think you know and got it covered in the blink of an eye it all can go sour. Lost a 250.00 torch and it was a reminder of how tough this hobby is.

Sorry to hear that. I always tell new folks that we all make mistakes along the way and we just have to learn from them and try to move forward. What happened to the torch?

I honestly dont know. Tank was running well now all euphyllia are on the downhill slide. Zoanthids are fine. Just got a whole bunch of test kits so trying to figure it out. Ph is low dkh was around 8 and calcium is yet to be determined.

Man that s a shame and hope you could pinpoint the problem soon. Any other LPS in the system that are acting up besides the euphyllia's?

I know this doesnt help but perhaps so you know you're not alome....I just had a DS torch die in the middle of the night after a few hours receiving it from a member here and I'm out 300.

It sucks and this hobby is not for the faint of heart.

The only other thing I have is a duncan and it is not opening like it was too so that is affected. The only other thing was I didn't have the di resin stage hooked up so I did that this weekend and we will see how it goes.

Ya sorry it sucks. I had a 75 gallon at my other house and had no problem growing awesome huge Euphyllia. Kinda why I'm so upset. I know I've done better

It can be pretty heart crushing at times. Sorry for your loss. Just keep plucking away and it’ll all come together. (The tub of plugs next to it were frags all trashed prior to this pic)

Sorry for the loss. My acros are starting to grow coralline better then my rocks.

So sorry. We learn from our mistakes and sometime things just happen. I’ve lost quite a few myself. Consistent testing is a good idea. Our tanks tend to tell us when something is wrong. I take a peek at my tank every morning. Almost every time a coral is looking bad, I’ve had some type of swing in parameters. Also, Do you have any type of air freshener or scented oils?
Hang in there!
