As you can see from the photos taken March 2020 and today. My Indo Torch has not been well at all since April, tentacle getting plumper and shorter. Have not seen any brown-jelly. My other coral are doing OK. My water parameters are normal. -- Temp 77.4F, Salinity 1.025, pH8.4, Alk 8.9dKH, Phosphate 0.043ppm, Nitrate 5; cal 430. (have never tested mag. Do 25% water change once every 2 or 3 weeks).

Feed it with Reef Roid, Mysis, Coral Frenzy 0.5mm pellet and Brightwell CoralAmino twice a week. Any clue and help will be much appreciated.

Are the clownfish beating it up? If they are looking for a host they could be very hard on it and because it has a hard skeleton (unlike an anemone) it can really damage the coral’s tissue

You're right about the clownfish trying to host in the torch. I've noticed it since day one but I am not really sure about "beating it up" and hurting the torch. Shoot, "IF" that's the case then I don't know what to do about it. I wonder are there any other possibilities the torch is not doing well.

Check you flow and lighting. Mine did a similar thing when it had too little flow and lights were on the higher side. I adjusted and so did they. Much better now.
Alternate and random the flow just don’t beat them up and you may see some improvement in a week or two. I find nothing much is “overnight” with torches.

I have only 1 mp10 blowing one direction. I thought the flow was too much because I saw their tentacles flowing one side and exposed their flesh on the head. So I moved it to the far left. That's the delima of having one powerhead.

Can someone shed some light how to place the torch. Since I don't have access to light meter to measure par, I can't really tell where the proper placement is. I am using one AI Prime HD for 20gal Waterbox of which display tank dimension is 18"x14" x16"(height). Planning to use Radion xr15 G5 soon. Currently, torch is placed at bottom toward the left side wall (moved from center to avoid strong water current) as shown in the photo.

Thank you all for replies.

I just did BioAdvanced (Bayer) and Iodine dip. Saw and followed what some Youtubers did.
