Hey folks I have had my tank running going on 15 years and am having an issue with one of my torches. This has happened a few time where it retracts for long periods of time. I have had them for several months with no issues. No light change, no dosing changes.
My PH is running low 8.0
Alk - 9.2
Cal - 470
Mg- is low 1200
1.026
Phos - .1
Nitrate-.3
76 degrees

you should bring your ph up, and maybe try bringing the temperature up to 77-78 degrees and see if that helps.

it might also be your water evaporated a little more than usual, maybe check your salinity levels. It is easy to get a little to high if your salinity is at 1.026. you have no fudge room if that is the case. I set mine at 1.023, which I know is on the lower side, but as long as it is 1.023-1.026 and no higher, you should be in good shape. I like to keep mine at the lower side so that I have the extra time to top it off before it gets out of control. It might be worth considering.

Hey that's a start thanks guys. I will give it a go. I'm also going to do a water change and see if that helps any. I can just see there is no meat on either of these corals.thats what I try and look for is ones that have good meat under the arms. But these did not.
