Torch or hammer?

I have two clowns in my tank and want to make them more at home. Im not experienced enough to go straight for an anenome so was wondering which one of these would be best for them to host and add movement to my tank. Do i need to add anything to my water to keep either?

Neither.
In the long run it can bother the corals as they not used to have a clown hosting them.
Clowns should be fine without a nem, as most clowns don't even know what it is as they never seen one.
So making them feel home is a good balanced water quality.

My clown hosts in blue mushrooms. He killed a nem years ago by being too rough and I just added another and he is leaving it alone. Depends on the clown.

But as far as one or the other as ill be getting a new coral which one would be easier or more striking in my tank? I want something interesting with movement

It's just luck of the draw, whatever the clown decides to host... if they host anything.
I've had a couple clowns in my tank for 6+ months, since they were only 1/2" long, and they still haven't found either of the two anemones in my tank.
In my nano where I don't want to put an anemone, my clown immediately took to hosting my open brain.
It definitely irritated the coral for a little while but it got used to the clown.

Anyway, my point is don't bother buying anything for the sole purpose of a clown hosting it.
Just get what you like and the clown will decide what he likes.

Ah right thanks. I like the look of hammers and their metallic look but also the movement torches give off. Ive got a tough decision to make tomorrow!
