I have a a torch that I placed in a rather turbulent flow area. Pretty much dead center high up. I have a gyre on each side of the tank and this is where the flow from each meets and moves down.

Anyway, I believe the polyp bailout is due to this as I had a hammer a while back in close to the same position (I don't learn) and it bailed out. I have a Frogspawn in a more gentle flow area of the tank and it's thriving. So I'm pretty certain it's not water quality that's causing the issue.

Now onto my question.. Is it possible that if I move the torch to a lower flow area of the tank that it will recover?

Depends, what are the water params, and have any pics? (Either way, move it to a lower flow/lower light area

Just checked this AM, it's too late. Complete bailout. and rockwork is too dense, can't see where the polyps landed. Very bummed.
Just know we all been there, corals are finicky.

This is the second Euphyllia I've had that bailed.
To get Euphyllia to be happy is easy. Just don"t give much current, not too bright light and feed them. Stable, reasonable water condition and they f=grow like weeds
Yeah I have had 2 torches in 3 months and both died. Euphyllia are very weird.
They, as a group, are pretty easy corals to keep.
