I was curious about this particular torch. I bought it in a euphyllia pack from a local reefer. He had it listed as a wwc 24K gold torch. Its obviously not gold but it does have gold streaks on its tentacles at night. I believe it to be an aussie. Currently its not as expanded as normal as I found it has some sort of flat worm. I have been dipping to remedy the issue.

My question is about the tentacles. It has at least a couple with multiple tips and starting to see more random tips on other tentacles.

Does this have any type of indication of torch type?

Names are not important more just curious

Not sure if you can catch the forked tip in the photo

I've seen torch "tentacles" develop multiple tips after healing from damage. I had epic battles with flat worms on torches, couple dips over the course of 1 month with coralrx seems to do the trick. Get the big ones off with initial dip and watch for babies a week or 2 later and lightly brush to get the eggs off. If you ever damage the flesh, it can be good to do a quick dip in lugol before putting back in tank.

Thanks so much for the reply.

That makes sense.

Really keeping an eye out for those worms. It takes a decent amount of time in the coralrx before they start climbing out.

That is very similar to my Torch, below. I am based in Sydney Australia, so mine is definitely an Aussie coral - from the Cairns area of the Great Barrier Reef I expect (which is where most of our retail stock in Sydney comes from). I have mine tagged as Euphyllia Labrescens but that is a bit of a guess.

Thanks for the info. Yours does appear to have some of the odd tentacles mine does

Some with multiple tips and some just oddly shaped
