Anyone experience with torches receding, while dipping find a white film under the receding flesh after blowing it. I find that all of my receding torches have this white film/ mucus on it. Either under it or cover the loss flesh area. Could it be fungal? Or bacterial?

8.4 alk
435 ca
1290 magnesium
.12 phosphate
9 nitrates

White mucus/film is somewhat normal when dipping and adding new Euphylia. After a day or 2 it should disappear.

You have had the film for the last 6+ months?

It sounded like you had just dipped the corals and then noticed the film. It didn't sound like it was ongoing issue from your original post, sorry for misinterpreting that.

I've never seen it last longer than a few days anytime I've noticed after dipping and adding a new Euphylia. Personally I've had it happen more with hammers then torches.

I think it may be dead flesh from stress high nutrients, I’ll try lowering phosphates to around .05 and see if it helps. I dipped and remove the the fleshy film yesterday from all my torches.
