Torch ring?

So I have had this torch for about 3 months not its splitting to 2 heads and when it pulled in I seen these rings around the base of the flesh. It looks like new stock but I'm not sure. Hope yall can help me out with it.

Are you talking about the spirorbid worms?
Look them up and see if that’s what your referring too
 
O no I'm talking about the dark green line right below the flesh of the torch. Just trying to figure that out.

New growth, it’s a good thing!
 
I think its where the flesh used to be...weather by receding or growing larger im not sure....

All euphillia does that, think of it like a tree. New tree growth is green when it ages it turns brown (bark).
