So I have couple torchs that are I think in the final stage of splitting. Never seen it happen before. But question is is it normal for them to not inflate as much and look as good as normal. I am just wondering cuz nothing has changed in my parameters. Or anything else but the 2 torchs that are splitting just don't look as good as the usually do they're not inflated as much and you know one of them looks like it's losing a little color from the mouth.

These are the ones that don't look as good. If u can see the brown one bybits mouth or where are the tentacles start is losing color. They pics below are my other torches that look great. They normally look like that the indo green.

I personally think they look fine. I've never noticed a reduction of color or polyp retraction when splitting with mine.

Yes, mine love to split and grow new heads constantly. 12 of them and counting!

Your welcome. It's been hit or miss lately because of a change in my work schedule due to the pandemic. Now I don't get home until around midnight, so my time on the forum is kind of limited right now.

I've had a couple that looked pretty bad when they actually split (branched) to form entirely new heads. I noticed as they began full separation, the flesh at the base became somewhat torn. Normally this is a bad sign so I was worried, but it recovered pretty quickly.

That would be cool to help! I work in the medical industry, have so now for thirty years now. When I was younger, much younger I worked as a union trim Carpenter. My dad and brother were carpenters.

Update any help only thing I can think of is I had a all swing from 7.9 to 10.4 because my doing pump head went bad or the dosesing tube didn't have good seal. Idk it just kept dripping after it dose. So that only thing and I replaced 1 blue plus buld in my t5.

And I see the aussie gold has a little color lost to but it still real sticky.

An ALK swing that high can effect the coloring. Adding the new bulb would raise par of that bulb and add to it as well. It should settle back down and the color should return as long as you lowered your ALK back to your standard.
