Torch tissue question

So I have a gold indo torch and it does not have tissue on the stem, does it affect growth? Also I hot it like that and I've had it for 2 months.

It might an indication that the tissue is receding overtime.

Mine does it when it doesn't get enough light for a long time. So thats when i start to frag mine and spread them apart.
Since it's only one head it should be getting enough light unless you have a weaker light or getting shadowed.

Also look around for any parasite.
whats your water parameter?

Unless there are other issues present that I cant tell from the picture.

Give it some time, try feeding it, and give it some good light. I see some tissue on second photo. Good sign....
 
I dont think its receding because it would probably be dead by now. So maybe it was dying from the guy I bought it from and now it's good maybe?
 
So give it some time, let it settle down on a good spot. It will take some time or longer than normal because it got to grow from the inner structure instead from the outer original hard skeleton. As long as it's extended and looks better day after day then it should be ok.
