coral noob here. bought a torch today(single head). the stalk(or whatever the long trunk like thing at the base is called) is about 2-3 inches long and i buried about 80 percent of it in the sand for stability. will it be ok if i keep this part of the coral covered or should i pull it out a bit?

It's ok there. Maybe shift some sand away from its base.

Welcome to the coral club. That’s not too deep. The sand may shift and fish may bump it over, so watch for that. After it acclaimates a couple of weeks to your tank you might consider moving it up higher on to the rocks.
