2am, sea urchin knocked coral into rocks and sand.
Again.

Ive lost a torch already becayse of this same urchin. Im asking for help as to what to do.
I put it in some reef dip for possible tissue damage. Anything else i can do?
How long should i leave it in the dip?

Glue the torches down with glue it’s easier to worry less. I always place mine on the sand bed for a day or too and slowly move them up and them 4 day glue down. Works for me I don’t have an urchin but lots of deep water trochus.

i have a shortspine urchin, and awhile ago just before we left for vacation it knocked over my coral, glued em down and no problems since then!

I dropped one in my frag tank last week. Within 3 days 1 polyp was completely gone, and the other is still holding on, but I don't see near as much of the second head. My uncle bumped one the week before in his tank and knocked it off, then they all past as well. They are far more sensitive than I gave them credit for. It really has me second guessing, but they are indeed a favorite of mine. Thanks for posting the photos, something to aspire towards for sure!
