Hello, on another forum you mentioned having issues with brook, or perhaps velvet— some ailment this week. So you know, and others know - it is possible, perhaps even likely that anyone buying these coral from this system could infect their own display tanks. I assume you probably were not aware but I wanted to share this with you.

happy reefing! :)

happy reefing! :)

I just bought 4 corals from this individual. He/she was very uncommunicative and I had NO idea that there might be a problem from their source. One of the corals hasn't opened up at all, one has opened minimally and 2 frogspawns appear to have tissue recession. I did dip them all before putting them in my tank. Now I'm thinking of removing them. Can you please let me know the forum that the problem was posted on? Thank you.

It was above in my comment.

Unfortunately, dipping isn't likely to do much, and if it's going to cause problems it probably has already done so. Now it's a waiting game, I hope that you're lucky! Removing them may kill them, I don't see much upside of removing after you've added them.

Truth be told you should QT anything wet that goes into your tank if you are not running a "management" system. I had an issue with disease when I set up my current tank even though all fish were QT and treated. It had to have entered on either a snail shell or a coral frag.
