My question is, when torches come in contact, let's say with zoa's. Will they just contain the colony or kill the whole lot. Even the ones they don't come in contact with.

They have to touch to fight, and generally they do have a limit that they can reach. The colony under attack, if it is large enough should start to grow away from the agression. Problem with growth, the torch may get bigger and have a longer reach also.

Good trick if you can, is to adjust flow pumps to change the outreach efforts of the torch?

Thank you for the reply.

Depends what it is attacking as well something like a leather or a wall hammer is all one big piece so a sting will kill the whole thing. But things that have separated heads or pieces will only be killed where they are stung.

I had to put up a torch fence.
This keeps them contained.

Thank you for the replies. Zoas and shrooms have really been taking over in the tank and I wanted to do a little natural barrier for some without killing the whole colony.
