Torches long short tentecles

I have some torches in my tank that have shorter tentacles. How to get them longer? One is a two headed todds torch. A pink tip torch and a neon green and a gold torch. Wont let me add a video to show how much flow they are already in. Please help me.

All torch species have different tentacle length. Some shorter and thicker, some long and skinnier. I don't think there is a way to make them longer. Also some in a higher flow area will have longer tentacles, but they also don't like to high of flow. Hope this helps a little.

Agree i have had several torches over the years. Some with tentacles that seemed were a foot others maybe 5". I was told lighting had something to do with it but i had a few next to each other. I think either they have sub species or it is where they were collected. Heard aussie torches have shorter tentacles. I know my aussie gold is short and my pink tipped green neon is long and both next to each other.

I have 2 torches right now, side by side, one long tentacled and one short. I bought the short first thinking when it settled in my tank it would extend and become long. Wrong, it never did so I had to buy another one. LOL

Ill test my exact levels when i get home. And post. Yes my aussie is the shortest. Then my neon green but my pink tipped is longer then my todds torch. Maybe not enough light over them? They are kinda in the back if tank.

Most Aussie torches are short and stubby whereas most Indos are long and skinny. This is just in my own torch collection though. I prefer the Indos over the Aussie (though the Aussie golds are prettier, in my opinion).
