So I currently use Reef Crystals, but this last box I've had has been testing too odd for me to be that loyal. After looking around I am interested in DD H20 or ESV. I'm pretty much up for trying anything out... what do y'all suggest?

I'm going throught the same thing. I am currently giving Kent a shot and so far seems good.

Ive had great success with ESV, I tryed them all tropic Marin, D&D H20, reefcrystals, coral life ect

Used to use tropic marin and ESV.They were alright. seemed like I had to dose more to compensate the lower levels in tropic marin.Switched to NSW about two months ago

Im back to Reef Crystals/Instant ocean mixed half and half. Everytime I try something else I always come back to this mix or just Reef Crystals.

I've been using red sea coral pro for about 8 months corals seem to be doing good & no problems mixes quickly switched from instant ocean because there was stuff left in the bottom of the bucket that would never dissolve even after a week looked like sand

I'd like to avoid mixing, it bugs me that I would have to buy two different salt brands to get what one brand should have right in the first place. ESV has great reviews, and I wouldn't mind mixing that together (As instructed) but I would like to know more about why that's part of the process. Anyone use the Deltec salt?

I use a 50/50 mix of reefcrystals and coralife just for that reason. But I do agree that mixing them is a PITA. I am thinking of switching when I run out this time so I'm following along to see what everyone says

i have been using red sea (not the coral pro as i run ulns) and really like it. It is evaporated like DD just much cheaper. you can find it for $54/175g bucket

Used SeaChem Reef Salt and CoraLife for several years with great results. Just switched to SeaChem's AquaVitro Salinity back in the spring and very happy to. IMHO, pick a good salt and stick with it, don;t keep changing. Most all salt are good and proven imo.

Heh I've been using Reef Crystals for the past 5 years, IO before that. Just lately my boxes have come with questionable chem issues. I'm tired of hoping for the best!

We have used coralife for 7+ years. The only problem we ever had was calcium being too high. Now we are starting to keep a few sps it is perfect.
