I woke to find my Tequila Sunrise Shroom folded over on itself. I gently straightened it back out, but noticed that it has a large tear on one side. and its mouth is extended open. I have no idea what happened to it, though I suspect an Emerald crab.

Is there any chance that it will be able to repair itself? It is securely glued in place, and I doubt that I can remove it without causing more damage.

Don’t believe this is splitting which I hoped
Mushroom especially when cut heals very well

I am really not sure what to do about this mushroom. It is obviously not very happy. It looks like it is barely attached to the original substrate. SHould I just leave it to do what it wants? try to reattach it? Not sure if I can get it out of the tank without damaging it or not, should I try to float it in a small container in the tank with some rubble rock to see if I can get it to reattach? I think the flow is too high in this corner of the tank, maybe I can relocate it to a better spot that way?

whenever a mushroom is acting like this and trying to fall off its rock I move it to the lowest flow spot in my tank and place it in a bunch of rocks rubble. It needs to be in a spot where the current does not “rock” it at all.

I will see if I can detach it from the rock it is on, and will try to relocate it to a lower flow area.

Update:
I did end up relocating this Tequila Sunrise Mushroom to a different location in the tank. In time, it did finally heal the tear in it's skirt. And a couple of weeks ago it divided!
