This caught my attention about a month ago, it appeared that a polyp had ensnared some type of mucus netting. Then I examined closer and noticed that the shape wasn't natural for the coral, it appears to be living on the coral. From the other pics you can see the coral is doing Great, good colors, good polyp extension. Do I leave it or pluck it AND what is it? Thanks

Mike

I can't make out much detail. The shape reminds me of a tunicate.
Tunicates, if bothered will collapse. You can poke at it and see how it behaves.

Bad part is, regardless of what the subject is. You'll want to remove it since it is directly on the coral.

Probably right. Thanks. Tomorrow when I've got the top off I'll try and pluck it.
