No before pictures as I am notorious for just jumping in and thinking about pictures later. I did buy a 120 off kijiji from a guy who happens to be pretty much around the corner. His brother had made a customer stand (and made it properly/professionally).

Drilled my first tank, with help from pulpfiction1.

Pained me to destroy part of this stand, but it can go back together. I needed a way to get my sump it as it was not going to fit through the front doors.

I still have a canopy to install, but here is where it stands so far. Still lots of work and rock scaping, but at least it is up and running.

Crude quick sump drawing. I have the full siphon drain looped back directly into the final chamber so I can control the amount of flow through the sump without loosing any in the display from that Mag18. Same as the third line in the manifold. It is solely looping water back into that chamber. It was handy in controlling the flow through the DT drains and will be used to pump water out for water changes or what ever else may pop up.

Think I still need one more unit to fill the spread. Although I do like the darker edges which will make a nice lul for low light corals. Hopefully I will get some better picks of corals in the coming days.

Went to London (Ontario) Fragfest this weekend. Threw together a quick rack for the new baby's until I get a chance to place them. I also a dozen other pieces that I already placed through my tank. Trying my hand at acans from BIGSHOW. I was able to grab up some Gold Torch thanks to Bean Bag Frags, some longed after Fire and Ice Zoas and a ton of other zoas from FRAGbox as well as more zoas from Mad Jelly Corals. Everything seems to be opening up nicely. Also grabbed up 3 shirts and 6 decals from ReeferTees, but forgot them in the van and wife went out for a bit. Lastly stopped in at SeaLife Central and grabbed up 2 fire fish, boxer shrimp, and a cleaner shrimp. That place was packed as well. Just pardon the cruddy phone pics.

Lets also not forget my MP10 and Frag plugs from Krakenauctions that I won. I was in complete shock when he handed me the MP10 new in box still sealed and only cost me $5.74 in total out of pocket. Wish I would have got a pic of him and I, was a great experience.

how were the prices at fragfest? I forgot to make it out! keep kicking myself about that.

Sorry to hear you missed out Bjohn.

Deals were amazing, it was definitely a buyers market there. Prices all day were great, there was everything from 5$ frags to "Just Ask" signs, which you know is never good LoL. More fun then I could have imagined. I stayed till the end and scored a ton of zoas for dirt cheap. Can not wait until next year. This was its first year and already talks of bigger and better.

Not sure how many people noticed the lack of room in my cabinet making it impossible to get my skimmer cup and skimmer out of the sump as well as the return pump. Until now, I have been carefully cleaning them while remaining inside my sump. So today I took one of a friends theory's and put it to the test. He has told me in the past that you can make an overflow in a drillable tank by drilling two holes, then score between them and to the top of the tank, then break that section off. Well, here it is...a proven fact, mostly though as I was taking the section right off, not making an overflow. Main trick is to be careful and tap the glass to break it along the score line which is very unnerving.

And the completed project minus adding silicone to attach the trim and smooth the sharp glass edge. All and all, well worth the effort and 0$ update to the tank.

Before putting the skimmer back in

Side - I trimmed off the one side of the tank as well so I can easily get to the return pump and ATO set up that used to be just as tight to work in.

Lots of love out there for my gold torch. Tons of hammer, torch and frogspawn of all kinds growing out right now. I just split my rbta tonight and both seem to be doing well.

Now I just need to spend the cash and get a good camera to catch everything properly.
