I have a standard 125 (6 ft long) sps and lps. Most lps are chalices and some torch, hammer and a few different brains and acans. Tank mostly sps. No clams but I do have one bi-colored RBTA. I really want to attempt a large angel and from all my research narrowed it down to a magestic... just wondering everyone elses opinions or success... I know it is really up to the fish bit they seem the "safest". My next choice would be a regal angel.

As much as I want to add an angel to my tank I just cant stomach the risk. I have an LPS dominated tank and from what I have read there is always a 50/50 chance they will nip at corals. With the cost of the corals I just can't take the risk. Thats why I am going to do a twin system when I upgrade so there is a FOLR tank and a full reef.

I'm all for the idea. I believe the reward is worth the risk. My regal likes z/p's, but never glanced at clams, lps, nems or sps. I have a juvenile emperor that will be in my reef soon. I believe if they're fed well and your coral/inverts are healthy, you shouldn't have issues. It's 50/50. Just have to decide what your more attracted to, beauty in corals or fish in case not all goes well. For me it was full sps and my angels and tangs. GL

I think im going to attempt it. I know its a coin flip but I have seen numerous people that have had success. If it works it would be a beautiful fish to add to the reef. I was thinking about getting a few cheap sponges to help give it something more enticing than my corals. But now I have to catch a purple tang that is a d**k! Im not sure the magestic could hold its own and I like the angel better than the tang haha
