So I have been out of the hobby for over a year. And a local friend just got me back into. He gave me a killer deal on this setup so I couldn't refuse.

It's a 36 gallon bowfront with a 15 gallon sump. The sump I used on my old 29 gallon reef, then I sold it to him. It's now mine again lol.

So far the tank is drilled with a glass holes overflow, loc line return, mag 7 return pump, 2 100w eheim heaters, a reef octopus sss 110 skimmer, and some dry rock put together with acrylic rods and epoxy.

I still need to get another ro/di filter, and a light. I also want to get a reefkeeper or similar controller.

I have a reactor I can run gfo in, and a fuge light from reef radiance.

For a light right I have a hood I built for my old 29 gallon with 3 65w power compacts in it. I plan on getting an AI Hydra 26 for this tank. I want to keep zoas and SPS in it.

Wow, what a cool aqua scape :O

Just one thing, is that rock leaning against your front glass? That could be a problem, otherwise looks great!

My jebao rw-4 is being delivered today. I also need to add some salt to the water after putting the pump in. A friend and I have plans to go to the smoky mountain coral expo in spite Berlin so I need to have my light and the tank cycled by then.

So I have an ai Hydra 52 on the way. I also took a sample of water to a lfs (like an hour and 15 minute drive here in wv) and on day 7 of using seachem stability their tests say I'm cycled.

They use api, and I just picked up a red Sea marine care test kit. I'm going to test my water soon and see what I get.

The Hydra 52 will be here Friday! And this coming payday I'll be ordering a hanging kit for it.

I still need an ai director, an algae turf scrubber, a rodi unit, and to make a screened top for the bow front. I'm thinking a brs kit and then I'll custom some acrylic to fit the front bow. I am also thinking about adding some hinges so I can open the acrylic piece for feeding.

My light came in today. I still need a hanging kit and a controller. I think I'm going to get an ai director for it.

I have a frag of jgc sully acro and a jedi mind trick monti in a friend's tank waiting for my hanging kit to get here. Picked up a brand new ai ext hanging kit from eBay for 20 bucks! It should be here by Monday.

My friend that was holding my frags is having serious water issues. I tested his water with a red Sea kit. He also gave me all the SPS frags to put in my system.

My tank parameters:
PH 8.0
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2

The frags are drip acclimating now. I also scored a sweet Mille pack from aqua SD which will be here Thursday. Pics as I get it all settled in.

Just a quick pic with my Nexus 5 under the Hydra 52 default settings (no director yet)

Since the corals are in the tank I figured it was a good time to set up the osmolator nano.

Top off container, I'm going to replace this with with am hdpe container so I can use kalkwasser in my top off.

And my skimmer isn't letting the foam get to the top on the max setting. I may try to replace it with a nwb110 like I used to have.

So I came home and the ato definitely put too much water in the tank. I unplugged it for now. The water is over the entire magnet holder.

Also, I ended up getting the hanging kit, but the threads were messed up on the cable holders. I called ai customer support and they are sending me an entire hanging kit, for free! Can't be service like that!
