Hi all can anyone out here explain to me what a toxic battle is with corals?
I am having some weird coral reactions in my tank.
Will my rainbow anemone and my hells fire create a toxic mess?
So far it looks like my hells fire anemone is losing.
My cespitularia has not been happy for days.
This is a mixed reef and I usually watch a frag of GSP's for changes in water but he is as happy as can be.
Thanks all!

Some say certain corals can release toxins into the water especially if nearby corals are irritating/fighting. Leather corals like devils hand are especially known for this.

Is it a water issue or a distance between corals issue? If distance check after lights have been out awhile or after feeding for sweeper tentacles reaching each other.

Very strange twilliard. What are the behaviors of the anemone? So something seems to be irritating it?
I stayed up late last night to feed my hells fire (he only eats at night)
The rainbow anemone I think is too close to him touching the hells fire so I was unable to feed him as usual.
Now my cespitularia went from this

To this and has been for days

At first I thought it was the potassium nitrate I did a lot of reading last night its an oxidizer

Wonder if you could either move one of them or possibly place something in between them?
They may not be touching though, I've seen negative reactions to adding different species of anenomes on the other side of a 4' tank. When there that far apart they normally get over it quickly though.

Thanks!
I am thinking of figuring out how to get them further apart. I don't like to disturb anemones since he has been in the same spot for 4 months.
I will try to separate the rock more. They are on 2 different rocks

Picture of my cespitularia with lights on. Almost like burn tips lol

Sorry for the blurry picture I hate resetting the setting on the camera
