I have had this toxic green for a year now. It keeps growing up but not to much out. Very few branches. It's just a weird shape. I need to move it since it's to close to a tri color. Anything I can do to make it spread out more. I was thinking of cutting it in half and have the 2 half's right next to each other

What about flow? Have you tried a different flow pattern to see if you can get different growth?

I would take a rock with SPS on it and spin it around from time to time. This lets it get some different flow, different lighting if parts of it were shaded, but it will now grow differently.

bump for more of the SPS gods!

More sporadic flow patterns will make them grow outward more rather than with a constant one direction flow.

I agree with everyone above. Random flow and placement. I seen a single tort grow like a stag in one tank, thick like a Christmas tree in another, and like a bonzai in a third tank.
