Reefpets just sold a single polyp of A paly they call toxic lava, I have had those for a while now I have been calling them acid drops but anyway, it sold for over $50.00!!!

wow I thought that this was a pretty common zoa. maybe it sold for that much because of the skirt looking funky
 
this is the first time I have ever seen them for sale, other than the person who sold me a single polyp for $35, and that was over a year ago, and they are slow growers.
 
That proves the economy isn't as bad as most people think.


its all about creating hype. i can sell the same or similar polyp for only 10.00 for a nice size frag and sit on 100.s of them for months. then put the same frag up for sale at 35 per polyp and sell out in a few days. people see a high price tag and they think its special and want it no matter what it looks like. a good example of that is the captain america paly.
that is the same type of paly that most people would walk right by in the local store all day everyday never looking twice at it. get a nice pic and a high price tag and all of a sudden it becomes the next best thing. really strang how that works. why do you think the high dollar "special" coral craze has taken off so well?? because it works. want to sell your coral? charge alot for it. sad but true
